Villa Vahtivuori

Villa Vahtivuori is a beautiful holiday cottage for 6+2 guests by Lake Saimaa in Rantasalmi, Lakeland. The cottage has a wonderful setting in Linnansaari National Park, where it is still possible to spot endangered Saimaa ringed seals. The location is very private, as only one neighbour is visible, on the other side of the bay. 

The cottage is all on one level and there is a modern kitchen, beautiful dining area for up to 6 people and a spacious living room with two sofas, TV and a fireplace for blazing log fires. There are three bedrooms, two of which have a double bed, while the third bedroom has two single beds. 

Sofa bed in the living room provides extra beds for two people, if required. A utility room, WC, bathroom with shower and a private electric sauna are also provided.

A baby bed is available by prior request. Wifi available for a small charge.   

Outside, there is an outdoor table set, as well as a handy gas BBQ on a lovely terrace, where amazing lake views can be enjoyed. By the lake shore, guests will have a use of a lovely wood-heated lakeside sauna, pier and a rowing boat. 

Motorboat and fishing licences are available for an additional charge. Canoe hire can be arranged locally. 

Explore Savonlinna and the medieval Olavinlinna Castle, enjoy the amazing scenery in Punkaharju Conservation Area, admire the world’s biggest wooden church in Kerimäki, and visit Lusto – The Finnish Forest Museum.
