We offer a service for cottage bookings in Finland and Finnish Lapland. When you book through Finland Cottage Rentals, you will be booking direct from the property owner, and the owner’s own booking conditions will apply to your reservation.
You can make a booking by either using the booking calendar on the property page, or by contacting the owner. The CONTACT button on the property page opens a contact form for messaging the owner. The form will usually also include the owner’s phone number. The booking methods accepted by the property owner are stated in the owner profile, where you will also find a link to the owner’s booking conditions. Note that some owners will only accept bookings by phone or via the contact form, so be sure to check the owner profile before making a reservation.
For some properties it’s possible to make a reservation using the property owner’s own website. Where this is possible, the owner profile will include a TO OUR WEBSITE button, which will take you to the cabin owner’s own online store or an online store maintained by a third party, where you can make the booking. In such cases, the booking conditions of the cottage owner and/or the online store will apply to the reservation. Where there is this option to book on another website, the reservation should not be made through our booking calendar.
If there is no booking calendar on the property page, you should ask the cabin owner directly about the availability and prices, e.g. by phone or using the contact form. Reservations can also be made via the methods stated in the owner profile.
If online bookings are possible for your chosen property, select arrival and departure dates from the calendar, and the price for that reservation period will then be displayed. If the whole rental price is due at the time of booking, only one amount will be displayed. If the reservation can be paid for in two installments, the deposit payment amount will also be displayed. For online bookings, the customer will always receive an automated provisional booking confirmation immediately by email. Note that occasionally the booking confirmation will go to a spam folder, so customers should also check there.
Reservations are subject to the owner’s own payment terms. For most properties, the reservation is charged by invoice, which the owner will email to the customer soon after the reservation has been made. The reservation is fully confirmed only once the owner has checked your booking and emailed you the invoice. For some properties, it is also possible to pay using the Visma Pay online payment system. In this case, the payment is made immediately upon booking, either by bank card or via online banking.
If you want to cancel the reservation or make an amendment, you must contact the property owner directly, e.g. by phone or email. In all cases of cancellation or booking amendments, the owner’s own booking conditions will apply.
Our online service offers you a platform where you can search, make enquiries and book holiday properties in Finland direct from the owner. The service is produced and managed by Finland Cottage Rentals and means the websites of finlandcottagerentals.com and mokkivuokraamo.fi.
Finland Cottage Rental’s responsibility is limited to maintaining and updating the service, user friendliness and keeping safe all information provided. We are not party to rental agreements or payment commitments created through or with our online service.
The property owners are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided about the property and updating the booking calendar. The owners are also responsible for all products and services they offer, the diligent handling of bookings and customer payments, and ensuring the cleanliness, safety and maintenance of the holiday property.
Before listing a property on our service, we always confirm the property owner’s identity. To confirm identify, we check the owner’s name, home address, personal identity number and the name and address of the property to be advertised. If the property is owned by a company, we also check the company’s name and business identification number.
We use cookies to ensure the best possible user experience. We also use Google Analytics to help us understand who visits our websites. All information is gathered and handled anonymously and it is not possible to identify individual users. If you are directed from our service to the cottage owner’s own online store or an online service offered by a third party, the owners of these services are then responsible for the gathering and protection of data on those sites.
