Comfy Cabin Villa Kanger, Ruka, Lapland

A handsome holiday home for up to 9 guests, close to Ruka Ski Resort. Villa Kanger is in a peaceful location surrounded by trees and a large pond, yet is only a 10-minute drive from the shops, restaurants and ski slopes of nearby Ruka. Relax in the stylishly furnished, timber-clad interior, while enjoying views of the Finnish natural landscape from the large windows. The light and airy open plan living area has a kitchen, dining table and comfortable lounge with large sofa, TV and fireplace – perfect for cosy evenings after a day of outdoor fun. There are two bedrooms: a double and a twin, plus a sleeping loft with three separate beds. The sofabed in the lounge provides further two beds. There is also a WC, a shower room and a sauna with electric stove. Baby bed and high chair.

Outside is a semi-enclosed terrace with comfortable outdoor lounge, table and chairs and a gas grill. The property includes a separate sauna building with traditional wood-heated stove, and its own living area. The private pond has a rowing boat and pier. Timber steps lead down to the shore, allowing guests to easily go for a cooling swim after a hot sauna. The villa has snowshoes, walking poles and sledges for guests to use in winter and a SUP board to enjoy in summer. The nearby Kouvervaara fell offers wonderful hiking and mountain bike routes in the stunning scenery of Kitkajärvi Lake and the famous Pieni Karhunkierros hiking route can be accessed just 25km away. Cross-country ski tracks 5km, nearest supermarket 11km, Ruka ski slopes 13km, Kuusamo 25km and Kuusamo Airport 27km.
