Turjanlinna

Turjanlinna is a charming lakeside cottage for 4+2 guests by Lake Saimaa in Rantasalmi, Lakeland. The cottage has a lovely setting in Linnansaari National Park, where it is still possible to spot endangered Saimaa ringed seals. Lovely lake views can be enjoyed from the cottage and its terrace.  

The cottage is all on one level and there is a cosy kitchen, traditional dining area for up to 6 people and a charming living room with two sofas, TV and a fireplace for blazing log fires. There are two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed, while the other has two single beds. 

Sofa bed in the living room provides extra beds for two people, if required. A utility room, WC, bathroom with shower and a private electric sauna are also provided. 

Turjanlinna can be booked together with the neighbouring cottage Turja e.g. for two families holidaying together. The cottages are just 300m apart, but there is no visibility between them. A baby bed is available by prior request. Wifi available for a small charge.   

Outside, there is an outdoor table set, as well as a handy gas BBQ on a lovely terrace, where amazing lake views can be enjoyed. A grill hut is also available, while wooden steps lead down to a charming lakeside sauna and your private lake shore with a pier and a rowing boat. 

Motorboat and fishing licences are available for an additional charge. Canoe hire can be arranged locally. 

Explore Savonlinna and the medieval Olavinlinna Castle, enjoy the amazing scenery in Punkaharju Conservation Area, admire the world’s biggest wooden church in Kerimäki, and visit Lusto – The Finnish Forest Museum.
