Pretty lakeside cabin for up to 6 guests, and ideal for a couple or a small family. Located in an idyllic and private rural setting near Suonenjoki. The downstairs of the cabin has a cosy kitchen and a dining table for four people, a pretty living room with log fire and a small bedroom with bunk beds for up to three people. Upstairs is a spacious sitting area with TV, one double bed and one single bed, plus balcony. A shower room and WC are in a separate room, accessed via the terrace. Drinking water in the kitchen will be received from Doulton watercleaning tap. Normal tap water in the cabin can be used for cooking after boiling for 5 minutes.
Outside there is a garden swing and a wood/charcoal grill. By the lake shore is a wood-heated sauna, pier and a swimming area. A rowing boat is also provided. A small island nearby provides an ideal picnic spot. Motorboat and canoe hire available. Drinking water will be provided for guests in large canisters, free of charge. Tap water in the cabin can be used for cooking after boiling for 5 minutes. Lake shore 25m, Suonenjoki (supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, railway station) 17km, Matkus shopping centre (Kuopio) 37km, Konnevesi National Park 47km.

Our stay at Suonenjoki was amazing. My guests from the United States stayed for three days. Jorma and his wife Sirkku were gracious hosts. We truly got to experience the Finnish countryside, alternating a wood burning sauna and a cold lake. On our last day, the namesake for the cottage, the swan came sailing along the lake to greet us. It was the best vacation ever.
