Taikasaari

Taikasaari island is an idyllic holiday spot for 4+2 guests on Väärinjärvi Lake in Ruovesi. When staying at Taikasaari, you will have in your private use the whole 2000 m2 island, a cosy lakeside cabin that has been recently renovated to offer modern conveniences, and a lovely lakeside sauna with a wide lakeside terrace. There is no visibility to other cabins or houses from any of the living spaces provided, so your complete privacy on Taikasaari is guaranteed. The cabin has electricity, but there is no running water. Meals can be cooked and prepared in the beautifully refurbished kitchen that has a fridge freezer, induction hob, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and a microwave. Good quality cooking utensils and dishes for 6 guests are also provided. Relax on the comfy sofa bed, that can be used as a 120 cm wide extra bed, in the open plan living area and soak up the charm of your surroundings. When the night falls, you can sleep tight in a comfortable double bed (150 cm) in the charming and beautifully decorated bedroom. For larger parties, the sleeping alcove in the open plan living area has two 80 cm wide single beds. The living area also includes a dining table and 6 chairs, a wood stove and Wi-Fi internet.   

The terrace outside is an ideal place for enjoying the peaceful setting and tasty barbecues prepared on a handy gas grill. In front of the cabin, you will also find a hammock and a pier where you can while away a day admiring the amazing lake views. Just a stone’s throw away, you will find a wood heated lakeside sauna and a wonderful lakeside terrace where you can relax with your friends and family day or night while enjoying the peace and quiet of the tranquil environment. Water to the lakeside sauna must be carried from the lake and heated in a large pan inside the sauna room. After a relaxing sauna, cool off in a cosy snug or outside on the lakeside terrace. Close to the lakeside terrace, you will find a lovely setting for a campfire where you can grill e.g. sausages or marshmallows on an open fire. A composting outdoor toilet is also available on the island. Drinking water must be brought to the island, but lake water can be used for washing and other needs. The island is accessed via a rowing boat that can be picked up at the nearby boat harbour. The rowing distance to the island is about 150 metres. On the island, two paddle boards are also provided for guests free of charge.
