Ruka Ski Resort is a popular Finland holiday destination offering a wide range of services. There are restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs, supermarkets, gyms, equipment hire, gift shops, pharmacy and medical services. In nearby Kuusamo, there are more supermarkets, pharmacies, plus the Holiday Club Tropical Spa with various pools and saunas. Families with children can have fun at the Rosa and Rudolph Family Park. For four-legged friends, many cafes and restaurants are dog-friendly.

You can hire a wide selection of ski equipment and the ski school will teach the basics of skiing or improve your existing skills. In Kuusamo you can play golf under the midnight sun, walk the Ruka trail or hike in Oulanga, Riisitunturi or Hossa national parks. Kuusamo airport is only a 20 minute drive from Ruka. From the airport, you can easily get to Ruka by airport bus.
The nearest train stations are located in Oulu, Rovaniemi and Kemijärvi. There is a bus connection from the railway stations to either Ruka or Kuusamo.
Ruka ski buses run between the resort’s largest accommodation areas and the slopes during the winter season when the slopes are open.
