Pyhänkarhu 1 is a cosy and comfortable holiday cabin for 6+2 guests in delightful Pyhä ski resort, Lapland. The cabin is located in a quiet setting close to Pyhäjärvi Lake and only a short distance from excellent opportunities for summer and winter activities, as well as varied services in Pyhä village. The accommodation is provided on two levels and ideally suits a family or a group of friends. Downstairs has 85m2 of space and includes a well equipped kitchen with an oven and hobs, fridge, dishwasher and a microwave. The beautiful dining table has seats for 6 guests. The cosy living room has a lovely fireplace, comfy sofa, two arm chairs and Smart TV for relaxing and spending time together after the day’s activities. There are also two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed, while the other has two 90 cm wide beds, which can also be placed together as a double. Both bedrooms have good cupboard space for your clothes and belongings. When the evening comes, enjoy a hot shower in the bathroom and chill in your own private sauna to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. You will also find a separate WC and a changing room / utility downstairs, where your snow-covered clothes can be easily put directly to the clothes dryer. The changing room also has additional storage space, where you can keep shoes and ski boots.
Wide steps lead upstairs to a spacious sleeping loft (20m2), where children have room to play and where one extra bed is also provided. There is a child safety gate at the top of stairs and a night light on the stairs. Upstairs also includes a third bedroom where you will find two 90 cm wide beds, a second TV and one extra bed. A baby bed, high chair and a potty are provided for those staying with small children.
The cabin terrace has a wooden table and chairs, and the grounds include a lovely lean-to, that has a smoking box for your catch of the day and a traditional large frying pan for making pancakes. The nearest cross-country ski tracks and snowmobile trails in winter, and hiking trails in summer, are located just 200 m from the cabin. The nearest ski slopes can be easily accessed just 3 km away. In winter, guests have free use of various toboggans, sledges and a traditional kick sledge at the cabin. In summer, fishing is possible on a private rowing boat, located by the shared lake shore 200 m away. It is also possible to swim in the lake. Two life jackets are available at the cabin (70-90 kg and 90+ kg).

PRICES: From 71€ / night. Hire of bed linen and towels 20€ / person. Final cleaning 95€. During peak season (Christmas, New Year and 20.2-3.4), cabin is available for rental from Saturday-Saturday only, while short breaks are possible at all other times.

The cottage is perfectly equipped and we felt like home immediately. There was a boat for a nice tour on the lake and many blueberry bushes around the cottage. We also liked the sauna and the fireplace after hiking trips around the area.

Booking the cabin and other arrangements were clear. The level of amenities, location and the cabin position on the plot were excellent. Privacy was guaranteed. Probably a peaceful place also in peak season. You could just about see the lake between trees. New cross-country ski track is available in less than 1 km and goes towards the top of Soutaja fell, where views are amazing.

Cabin was tidy and everything necessary was available e.g. for cooking. Appreciated the numerous lanterns that were available for guests to use during the dark period. Had to experiment a little with the fireplace before we got it drawing nicely. Have plenty of fireplaces at home, so lighting one was not new to us. Might have been a while since the fire was lit last. We were also a little unsure how the sauna timer worked. Cabin decor was homely and all rooms were well designed. Enough storage for clothes etc. Kitchen could have one empty shelf for own things. Will recommend the cabin to others!
