Orrviken

Orrviken is a modern holiday cottage for 5+2 guests located on Åland island in the beautiful Åland archipelago. The cottage is situated in the small village of Gottby, just a short drive from Mariehamn, which makes this light and airy cottage perfect for your trip to this enigmatic region. 

Accommodation is set on two levels and downstairs has a lovely living area with a comfy sofa, fireplace, TV and large windows looking out over the garden. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, and it has a dining table for 6 people. There are two bedrooms, one of which has twin beds, while the other has bunk beds with a single upper bunk and a double bed below. Two additional guests can be accommodated in the sleeping loft, which has a sofa bed for one and one additional single bed. The cottage also includes a utility room, WC, bathroom with shower and a wood-heated sauna. 

Outside is a spacious terrace where guests can enjoy eating outdoors and cooking on a charcoal barbecue. There is a large lawned garden suitable for children to play in and a lovely traditional grill hut, where you can cook food on an open fire. At the end of the garden is a small jetty for relaxing by the secluded waterfront. There is also a rowing boat for exploring the small bay or trying your luck with a spot of fishing (free fishing rights within a designated area). 

Enjoy the wonderful natural scenery and make sure also to visit historical attractions such as Kastelholm Castle, Bomarsund fortress, the Pommern museum ship, and the charming Maritime Quarter in Mariehamn. 

Åland island can be reached by car ferry from Turku and Helsinki, or you can fly to Mariehamn Airport.
