A traditional country cottage for up to 6 people, by the serene Kannonjärvi lake in Kannonkoski. Open plan kitchen, dining area and living room with fireplace, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, shower room/WC and sauna with electric stove. Sofa bed for two in living area. Terrace with gas barbecue. Baby bed and highchair by prior request.
The grounds include a charcoal grill and a traditional lakeside sauna (summer use only), pier and rowing boat. Motorboat and outboard motor available to hire from the owner for an additional charge. Fishing rods, ice-fishing equipment, snowshoes, cross-country skis, bicycles and toboggans available to borrow. We loved it. So, so tranquil. The cabin had everything we needed. The pontoon was a perfect place for reading, sunbathing and watching the very long sunset. The lake was still and clean. There were two saunas, three bbqs, a rowing boat and complete silence, what more could you want? It was the most peaceful relaxing place I have ever been to.

The cottage is perfectly equipped, with everything necessary for the stay. It was pleasant that the cottage is separated from other cottages, so didn’t see neighbours, nothing disturbed our rest. The owner was very attentive and kind, lent us bicycles and gave us very sweet strawberries. We will recommend this cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mikkilä. The place was perfect for a relaxing few days in the Finnish countryside, something I would recommend to anyone visiting Finland in summertime. The highlights for us were the two saunas, the wood fired barbecue and the peaceful and secluded lake.
