A charming log cabin for up to 5 guests, located in the small resort of Paljakka, a place where the landscapes of Lapland and Lakeland meet. Set amongst peaceful forests, this semi-detached holiday home is ideal for a couple or small family wanting to spend time in nature, and visitors can enjoy outdoor activities all year round. In summer, guests can go hiking, canoeing, fishing or enjoying the mountain bike trails that run right by the cabin. In winter, go snowshoe walking through the snowy forest or join the cross-country ski tracks that start just 100m from your door. The cosy interior comprises an open plan living space with kitchen, dining area and lounge with TV and fireplace. There is a double bedroom, a sauna with electric stove and a washroom with shower and WC. There is also a loft which has three separate beds. Own bed linen and towels must be brought.

Outside there is a spacious terrace and the yard includes a handy parking area for bicycles. Guests can visit the nearby lake, which has a swimming beach for those who want to take a dip. Paljakka is a great location for hikers and it has the highest peaks in the Kainuu region. Popular nature destinations in the area are the Paljakka Nature Reserve and Hepoköngäs, Finland’s highest natural waterfall. Cross-country ski tracks 100m, lake 200m, Paljakka 2km, Ristijärvi town (for supermarket) 23km, Kajaani 53km, Oulu 170km.
