Comfortable 6-person holiday cottage in a secluded setting by Kilpijärvi Lake. The cottage is very well equipped and beautifully decorated. Downstairs is a kitchen, dining and living room with log burner, two double bedrooms (each with TV and Blu-ray player), changing room / utility, shower room with two showers, sauna with electric stove and WC. Spacious living room upstairs with home theatre, sofa and two single beds. Terrace. Baby bed and highchair available for an additional charge. Air source heat pump for cooling during hot weather.

The cottage stay at Kilpikonna was our first experience at a Finnish cottage, it was absolutely idyllic! To be honest, for the money we considered staying at a 4-star hotel with buffet instead, but were glad we tried the cottage. The location was genius, nestled within a secluded forest right next to the lake. Such privacy and silence surrounded by nature is such luxury!
We barbecued, fished, steamed our bodies in the sauna, swam and boated in the lake, and overall just enjoyed being surrounded by natural beauty. The owner was very hospitable and made check-in a breeze with a simple code unlock. After arrival, he showed off all the eco-friendly features of the cottage, and gave plenty of local tips.
