Iso-Syöte is a popular Lapland holiday destination for all ages. The resort has relaxed restaurants for lunches by the slopes or for evenings out with your friends and family. There are also bars, cafes, a pharmacy and the Tunturi Market, for food, local specialties and souvenirs. The local spa offers relaxing pools and saunas, and the resort also has a gym and an equipment hire shop.

Iso-Syöte and Pikku-Syöte have a total of 26 ski slopes and around 85 km of ski cross country ski tracks, so even the most enthusiastic skiers will have plenty to explore. For snowboarders, Syötee has a Snow Park and other fast-paced experiences can be found, for example, with snowmobiling and dog sledding. Try a snowmobile, reindeer or husky safari. You can hire a wide selection of ski equipment and the ski school will teach the basics of skiing or improve your existing skills.
In summer, the bright nights of Syöte are perfect for enjoying hobbies late into the night. Hiking trails of different lengths start from the Syöte nature centre and there are several suitable day trip destinations. Endangered species such as flying squirrels and golden eagles live in Syöte National Park, which you may be lucky enough to spot. Go SUP-boarding or kayaking. Enjoy mountain biking across stunning landscapes or photograph the breathtaking nature of Lapland in the soft light of the midnight sun.
You can fly from Helsinki to Syötte via Oulu, Rovaniemi, Kajaani or Kuusamo. The nearest airport is in Kuusamo, from where you can drive to Syöttee in about 90 minutes.
The nearest train stations are located in Oulu and Rovaniemi. You can continue your journey from the train by bus, taxi or carpool.
Saaga Travel’s Skibus from Oulu to Syöttee operates as usual during the ski season. You can board the ski bus from Liminga, Kempelee, Oulu and along the way.
A regional bus also runs along four different routes in the winter season.
