Hepolehto is a small lakeside cabin for 2+3 guests, located in a tranquil and secluded setting in Hankasalmi, Central Finland.
The cabin has a cosy kitchen with electric hobs, a microwave, small electric table top oven, fridge-freezer, coffee maker and a traditional wood-heated oven. The wooden dining table has room for up to 6 people to dine together, while there is also a cosy living room with a comfy sofa, TV and a red brick fireplace for enjoying glowing log fires.
There is a cosy double bedroom downstairs, while the sleeping loft upstairs has two single beds and one additional mattress bed on the floor. The cabin also has a WC/shower room and a lovely wood-heated sauna.
Baby bed and high chair are available by prior request.
Outside, there is a wide terrace where you can dine outdoors while enjoying lovely lake views. Have a fun family barbecue taking advantage of the lovely barbecue shelter, or go fishing or exploring the lake with your own rowing boat. The lake shore is in its natural state and therefore has stones scattered here and there.
Spend a sunny day reading a book on your private pier, or hire bicycles from the cabin owners for a ride in the forest or along the nearby country lanes. Canoes, a kayak, an outboard motor and a motorboat are also available to hire for an additional charge.
Golf can be played in the nearby Revontuli golf course from spring to autumn. In winter, try cross-country skiing on the cabin grounds or enjoy a walk in the snowy woods. Häkärinteet ski resort for downhill skiing is also located nearby.

Hepolehto is situated in a lovely place. We spent three relaxing days surrounded by silence and beautiful landscape. Walking through the forests and taking leaps into the ice cold lake after sauna are experiences that every visitor of Finland should take home! The cottage is really charming, well-equipped and has a beautiful surrounding with barbecue, swing and terrace. The sauna has to be heated with wood, which makes it kind of rustic and special. Also the smell of it is really worth experiencing. The cottage is made of wood as well, you really feel like being in the middle of the forest! We definitely are going to recommend it to our friends and families.

Hepolehto was an amazing experience for all of us. We were 4 friends and we lived an adventure. We used sauna, we used boat, we used barbecue. It was the first experience in a cottage inside the nature for us and we will never forget! A big thank you to Hepolehto and a big thank you to Finland!

We had a wonderful time at Hepolehto. The cottage was all we could wish for. It is in a wonderful location and the peace and quiet is second to none. If you want to switch off and re-charge your batteries then this is the place to do it. The surroundings are very nice too and the lake at sun down is a special place to be. Going shopping in a small motor boat is something every relaxing indeed. We can only recommend this place to anybody that wants to be left in peace and get back to nature. And by the way if you like mushrooms then step into the forest and you will be spoilt for choice.

We enjoyed a lot our stay. The cottage is very nice and comfortable and the location is great. The owner is very helpful. We particularly enjoyed the sauna, swimming on the lake and the sunsets by the deck. Our stay in Hepolehto was the highlight of our trip.

Thank you for a lovely stay although we did not order that thunder storm on Saturday night. Really positive was answering phone calls quickly and taking care of a couple of small issues without delay. The septic tank was emptied in less than one hour from our phone call.
Suggestions for improvement include more guidance on fireplace and stove, as it took us a while to get the draw right for the fireplace, although we are experienced in heating with logs. The sign for cottage 6455 could also be more visible, as the young people in our party arrived separately in darkness and rain, counting on Google maps that guided them only up to the sign. All was well in the end. Four stars.

Comfortable cabin in a secluded location, but near local services in Hankasalmi! The cabin grounds had been cleared of snow and the cabin heated ready for our arrival. After heavy snow fall, the road was also quickly plowed and we could easily drive to Hankasalmi village. We had a very pleasant stay!
