Dasher is a comfortable two bedroom log cabin for up to 4 guests in popular Ylläs ski resort, Lapland. The cosy cabin is located in lively Äkäslompolo village, in a picturesque woodland setting. Local shops, cafes and restaurants are however within walking distance, so a hire car is not essential.
The cabin is set on two levels and there is a well equipped kitchen, traditional dining area and a cosy living room with a sofa, TV and a fireplace downstairs. There is also a comfortable twin bedroom and a shower room/WC and a lovely sauna with handy electric stove. Upstairs has a second bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed for two, as well as a second WC. Board games and free wi-fi.
Outside, guests will have their own reserved car parking spot with a heating post. Cross-country ski tracks are located in the forest behind the cabin and a good range of village amenities can be reached easily on foot. A ski bus will take you and your skis to the slopes in about 10 minutes.
For stunning scenery and the world’s cleanest air, visit nearby Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, a wonderful place for hiking and cross-country skiing. Snowmobile, husky and reindeer safaris are available in Ylläs almost daily during the winter season. Visit also the Snow Village in Lainio for amazing sculptures, restaurant and bar all made from ice.

Dasher is perfectly situated for people wanting to do cross-country skiing since it is really close to the tracks. You can basically start skiing right behind the hut. Personnel was super-friendly. We had ordered linen and towels which had been forgotten to be put. The lady came Saturday late evening, brought us everything, and even took us to the polar lights view point on her way back.
You do not need a car at the cottage since shopping and very good dining is within walking distance. For anything further away, the taxi service is easily reachable. The only little problem for us was the the beds were a bit small (long, but not very wide). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will for sure come back.

Cabin was in very good condition and it was clean and tidy. Kitchen had all necessary cooking appliances, pans, oven dishes and frying pans, and everything was in excellent condition. We could not hear any noises from next door and the location was good. Fireplace was lovely and sauna gave good heat. I would be happy to return.

Cabin was tidy and smelled clean on arrival. For two adults the accommodation was perfect and we had everything we needed. Beds were very good. Perfect location and lovely views from the living room window towards the woods. It was lovely to drink morning coffee on the terrace at the back while looking at reindeer. It was possible to access the nature trails directly from the back garden. I would gladly book this cabin again.

Cabin was very clean and the environment around the cabin nice and peaceful. Location was excellent, local services, cross-country ski tracks, waking and cycling trails were all close and easily accessible.

Clean and spacious cabin, good space available upstairs on the sleeping loft. Located in a peaceful area close to local services, good soundproofing with the adjacent cabins. Feeling of peace and calm was increased by the woodland views that you can enjoy from the windows.
