Cozy Arctic Lakeside Cottage is a delightful holiday home for 6 guests in the magical Arctic Circle in Sirkkakoski, near Pello. The cottage is located in a serene and private setting by Miekojärvi Lake. Beautiful views of the arctic lake and the fells on the opposite side can be admired from the cottage in all seasons. The cozy cottage is beautifully decorated and offers an ideal setting for resting and recharging batteries away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Downstairs, the cottage has an open plan living area, where guests can relax, spend time together and enjoy a lovely log fire. Movie nights can also be organised, as there is a projector and a white screen for streaming movies from your own laptop. Meals can be prepared easily in the perfectly equipped kitchen, and the beautiful dining table can seat 6 guests. Downstairs you will also find a bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe, as well as a WC, a spacious bathroom with shower and a sauna with a handy electric stove. After sauna, guests are welcome to cool down on the wide terrace outside, which can be accessed directly from the bathroom. The second double bedroom is located upstairs and there are also two additional 120 cm wide beds on a sleeping loft. The upstairs also has a cozy sitting area, where guests can read a book and relax on a comfy sofa. Free Wi-Fi. Fire alarm, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher and first aid kit.      

The wide terrace outside has outdoor furniture and a handy coal grill. There is also a fire pit ball by the lake shore, as well as a traditional wood-heated lakeside sauna. The pier in summertime is the ideal spot for enjoying sunny weather, yoga or perhaps a cup of coffee. Guests can swim in the lake in summer and gaze at the amazing Northern Lights dancing in the sky during winter. There are 6 sledges provided for the guests and the frozen lake often has cross-country ski tracks in winter. Guests can also drive to the nearby Ritavalkea ski resort, that boasts varied cross-country ski tracks, five ski slopes suitable for beginners and families, Snowpark for snowboarding, a sledging hill and a restaurant. Reindeer and husky safaris are also available nearby, just a 20 minute drive away.
