Rukan Lumitähti (Ruka Snowstar) is a delightful holiday cabin for 7 guests in a convenient location in Ruka ski resort. Cross-country ski tracks can be accessed directly from the cabin and snowmobile routes are also located nearby. Ruka village with its many services is located just 1.5km away. There is a lovely living room with a log fire, comfortable corner sofa, a pair of armchairs and a Smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven and hobs and a microwave. The beautiful dining table has seating for 6 guests. Downstairs has two comfortable bedrooms that both have beds for two guests. There are a further three beds in the sleeping loft upstairs. The modern bathroom includes a shower, WC and a washing machine and there is a lovely sauna with an electric stove. A second WC is located upstairs in the sleeping loft.
There is a spacious terrace at the back of the cabin where you can sit and relax enjoying the beautiful woodland views. Guests can also use the wood-fired grill. Cross-country ski tracks and snowmobile trails run near the cottage and are easily accessible. Ruka has excellent opportunities for enjoying the great outdoors all year round. Popular activities in winter include downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoe walking, sledding, snowmobiling, ice karting and ice climbing. In summer, holiday makers in Ruka enjoy varied nature trails in breathtaking surrounds for hiking and cycling, as well as minigolf and disc golf. Try also water sports, such as river and whitewater rafting, canoeing, SUP boarding and fishing.

We spent a great hiking and disc golfing holiday in the Ruka area. Tero’s place provided a good base camp for our stay, having a peaceful location but at the same time being very near many routes like the Pyhän Jyssäys.
