Rantamökki

Rantamökki is a cosy lakeside cottage for 4+2 guests, close to the beautiful Päijänne National Park in Asikkala, Southern Finland. The cottage has a peaceful setting and a secluded plot, although good road networks can be easily reached in just a few minutes. This traditional red painted cottage has an open plan kitchen-living room, where you will find a dishwasher, microwave, oven and hobs and fridge-freezer, plus a dining set for 5-6 people, sofa, Smart TV and a large red brick fireplace. There are two comfortable bedrooms and the first has a double bed, while the second has a 220 cm wide bed and an 80 cm wide single bed. Extra beds are available on a sofa bed in the living room. The cottage also has a WC and a wood-heated traditional sauna with shower. The sauna area is accessed via the outdoor terrace. Free Wi-Fi.     

The cottage grounds include a barbecue shelter that offers lovely views to the sheltered lake shore and beyond to Lake Päijänne. There is a gas BBQ for cooking all your summer favourites and a dining set is also provided, so you can enjoy meals outside in the fresh air. There is a private pier by the lake shore for relaxing on sunny days and perhaps reading a book. A rowing boat is also provided for fishing or for fun trips exploring the lake. The extensive cottage gardens are sunny and child friendly, and there is plenty of room for garden games, relaxation and for children to play. Recommended day trip destinations nearby include Päijänne National Park and Pulkkilanharju, where you can enjoy a lovely nature path in a unique landscape of forest and water and see a small lighthouse. Nearby towns of Vääksy and Sysmä host various summer events, while there is also a small vineyard close to the cottage. Heinola bird sanctuary nearby is a fun day trip destination that suits all ages.

PRICES: From 117€ / night. Prices based on 4 guests sharing. Additional guests are charged 35€ / person / week. Bed linen and towels 35€ / person. Final cleaning 150€. When bringing pets, final cleaning must be ordered. Weekly bookings must start on Saturdays. Cottage is available to rent from mid-May to mid-September.
