Tuiskukuru

Tuiskukuru is a modern cabin for 6+1 guests in a peaceful woodland setting in the popular Saariselkä ski resort. The recently built cabin offers high quality accommodation, allowing your party to have a comfortable stay in the natural and clean surroundings of magical arctic Lapland. The accommodation is set on two levels and offers families and groups of friends great opportunities for relaxation and spending quality time together. The entrance level has a spacious open plan living room that offers beautiful woodland views and a lovely corner sofa where guests can relax and watch TV. A modern kitchen includes high quality cooking appliances and kitchenware, plus a large dining table for 6. There are three twin bedrooms that all have two 80 cm wide beds, while the sofa bed in the living room can sleep one additional person for an extra charge. A separate WC is also available.  

Sturdy wooden stairs lead guests downstairs to a relaxing sitting room with a beautiful fireplace, where guests can enjoy log fires, rest and spend a relaxing time together. There is also a modern bathroom with a shower and your own private sauna. Direct access is provided to the terrace where guests are welcome to cool down after a sauna and enjoy the clean nature surrounding the cabin. A second WC is also provided. A baby travel cot and a high chair are available by prior request for an additional charge. Fire alarms, a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher. Logs for the fireplace are not provided during summer months.  

The terrace has a small table and chairs. A ski care and storage room is also available, while a small gym can be booked separately (100€ / stay). There are nature paths for walking and cycling in the immediate vicinity of the cabin and cross-country ski tracks run just a few hundred meters away. A skibus will take you to the resort centre or the ski slopes in just a few minutes. Enjoy the blazing Northern Lights dancing in the sky, experience a fun reindeer or husky ride, take part in a snowmobile safari, try snowshoe walking or cross-country skiing in the snowy forests, or spend an active day downhill skiing in the well maintained and varied ski slopes. In summer, try your hand at fishing, go hiking or cycling in the nearby Urho Kekkonen national park or perhaps take part in a canoeing or kayaking excursion. Saariselkä is magical all year round.
