Villa Kotiranta

Villa Kotiranta is a delightful holiday cottage for up to 6 guests in a beautiful lakeside setting in Kyyjärvi, Central Finland. The scene is very peaceful and guests are able to enjoy the alluring natural surrounds in complete privacy. Downstairs, the cottage has a light and airy open plan space with a large corner sofa, lovely log fire, Smart TV and a beautiful dining table for six. Large panorama windows complete the space and allow guests to enjoy stunning lake views. The modern and well equipped kitchen includes a coffee maker, electric oven and hobs, fridge, freezer, microwave oven and a dishwasher. The cosy bedroom has a 160 cm wide double bed and there are a further four beds upstairs in a sleeping loft, that also includes a work desk and a chair. Downstairs also has a WC, a bathroom with shower and a wonderful wood heated sauna that also has a panorama window towards the lake. The cottage is ideal for families with children and includes a baby bed, high chair, books and toys for children, board games, child safety gates on the stairs and a fire guard. A baby bath is also available on request. Air conditioning, outdoor safety cameras, fire and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher and a first air kit.  

In addition to the many relaxing spaces inside, guests are invited to spend time outside on a spacious terrace that has high quality outdoor furniture, a sun shade and sun loungers in summer. A handy gas grill is also provided for fun family barbecues and a lovely covered hot tub can be enjoyed by guests of all ages. The extensive cottage grounds are ideal for young children to play in. The gorgeous sandy beach, which is reached via a cute wooden gate, is ideal for swimming on sunny days. Or use the rowing boat to explore the lake. The shallow shore is ideal for small children to paddle in the water. Finally, a full size beach volley field, disc golf, garden games and a place for a camp fire offer further fun activities for the guests. In winter, guests can try cross-country skiing, snowshoe walking or ice-fishing on the frozen lake, or visit the nearby Harsunkangas recreation area, where you will find lit cross-country ski tracks, an excellent sledging hill and several lean-tos for outdoor cooking on a camp fire. Downhill skiing and snowboarding are also possible at the nearby Ski Vuorenmaa resort, that also has a lovely cafe, a good sledging hill and a grill hut where you can eat your own packed lunch or cook sausages on an open fire.
